Six cracking live entertainment ideas for your Christmas event

merry Christmas in treet

Christmas is officially on the horizon! The latest flurry of TV adverts feature tables groaning with Christmas food, piles of prefect presents, and more fake snow and you can shake a Santa at. So, if you haven’t planned your Christmas entertainment for your event, whether it’s the office party, a seasonal promotion, or something special for the staff, it’s time to get your skates on!

Nothing gets a celebration going better than live entertainment, so we put together five great Yuletide ideas to keep you and your guests entertained from first mince pie to the last nightcap.

Idea 1: Rocking around the Christmas tree

A live party band is just perfect for a Christmas party where the guests’ ages might range from office junior to senior execs, or youngest nephew to oldest grandparents. A skilled cover band will keep the favourite and familiar songs coming all night long, with everyone on the dance floor and enjoying themselves. Call them party bands, cover bands, function bands or live bands, these talented groups can play in a wide variety of styles, across decades of popular music, and still have energy to spare!

Seduce Party Band

A high energy party band with the lineup from a talented duo up to 9 superb musicians. For a fabulous evening, book the six piece lineup with female and male vocals and the sacks, offering a wide variety of music from jazz and swing to pop and soul.

The seven piece lineup features no less than three singers performing all those classic Christmas pop tunes from “Santa Baby” to “Fairy tale in New York.

Idea 2: Live carol singers

If the only live Carol singing you here at Christmas are the neighbours kids droning their way through good King Wenceslas on your doorstep each year, treat yourself and your guests to professional carol singers this year. Guaranteed to bring Christmas cheer to your corporate event, Christmas shopping evening, or big family gathering.

Idea 3: Gospel singers and gospel choirs

So, why not book the next generation of gospel singers and choirs to entertain with favourite carols, songs and more at your Christmas event. Always uplifting, joyous, gospel choirs can stop shoppers in their tracks and send everyone away with their spirits lifted. Check out these choirs:

Idea 5: Do it your way!

When it comes to Christmas celebrations, you really can do your own thing! You could for example tie in your entertainment with your decorations. Country living say that the hot colours for seasonal decoration for Christmas 2018 will include sea blues with rich tones of teal and aquamarine teamed with cool ice white.

Why not theme your entertainment to reflect the sounds of the sea such as a Caribbean steel band, or sea shanties sung by a pirate band. Or go to the other polar extreme with ice sculptures, themed characters and a cool cover band?

In contrast, John Lewis have brought out a range of decorations inspired by tropical rainforests including deep greens, tropical feathers, and exotic leaves. Another excuse to have a Christmas calypso band, limbo dancers, or even jungle drummers.

Idea 6: an oasis of calm

Christmas can be an incredibly hectic time of year, so why not offer your colleagues a Christmas party that’s relaxing, laid back and stress-free for a change! Ditch the disco and turkey in favour of a delicious lunch or high tea or a chance to chill out, enjoy elegant modern lounge music from exceptional musicians, and gentle live acts such as cartoonists, table top magicians. Or heaven forbid, have the rare opportunity to just sit back with a freshly-mixed bespoke cocktail and really chat to colleagues and friends.
