Swing Ninjas

Having started life as a busking band on the streets of Europe, the Swing Ninjas are now signed to Freshly Squeezed Records, playing and singing a mix of New Orleans’ swing and Parisian jazz from 1930s and 40s, with a modern musical flair. They come in any size to fit the occasion – from trio / quartet for intimate canapés or parties, to a raging 9 piece band – all with the same energy, charm and fun-loving attitude.

Singing original songs, playing classic swing standards in 4-part vocal harmony, the 100 year-old music is given a breath of fresh air by the highly skilled energetic performance, immaculate dress and tongue-in-cheek charm of the band. This is not stagnant, boring swing as you know it.

The band, depending on size, comprises of Saxes, Tuba/brass, Guitar, Double Bass/Piano, and Drums and of course 4-part vocals. Expect something new meets something old.

TRIO / QUARTET

These ‘Wild Gentlemen of Swing’ play and sing a mix of New Orleans’ swing and Parisian jazz from the 1930s and 40s, with a modern musical flair. This Brighton based group is taking the world of swing to places it never dreamt possible, whilst showing us that you don’t need a large band to make a BIG impact!

Their energy, humour and enthusiasm for the music is infectious in both their walkabout and stage shows, while their obvious enjoyment of the raw and passionate musical pleasures shine through. Whether serendading table to table, giving an intimate acoustic experience to a select few or playing on stage to thousands, the end is result is the same – pure joy.

The band comprises of Alto sax, Helicon/Tuba and Maccaferri Guitar with the addition of Double Bass for the quartet. With Luscious three-part or four-part vocal harmonies they ensure any audience is blown away – not just by the massive horn. Playing to celebrities and Royalty alike, smiles are spread one note at a time.SEXTET BIG BAND

A wild Swing Orchestra in a tiny package. Playing and Singing a mix of New Orleans’ swing and Parisian jazz from 1930s and 40s, with a modern musical flair, the sextet takes the sound of a Big Band to all stages, parties and events that have a stage big enough.  Despite only having six players, their stage presence is that of the biggest swing orchestras around and perfect for any event that requires a big sound.
