Brazilian Sway's Bio
Brazilian Sway are a pop covers duo with a difference.
A new Anglo Brazilian pairing, Helena Martins & Paul Rumbol reinterpret much loved pop & soul classics in Brazilian Grooves.
The two first started working together in 2018 in the Samba Stones project. Taking the successful idea of playing well-known songs & re-arranging them with Brazilian rhythms, they decided to broaden the idea to pop music in general but make it a more intimate duo setting.
British born Paul has been working with Brazilian music culture for over 30 years, whereas conversely Brazilian born Helena’s background is more with rock, pop & show tunes.
They combine perfectly in this unique duo and Paul’s original guitar synth sound allows them to achieve an amazingly rich & big sound previously unheard of in a guitar & voice setting.
Their repertoire covers pop, rock, r&b and soul music classics from the 60’s to the present day.
