Anna Scott's Bio
Anna Scott is a multi-talented Parisienne Vocalist, songwriter, performer and dancer. She was born and raised in Paris of her two opera singing parents. Anna started to perform at the age of 3 and has never stopped since.
Her music crosses over various genres, Americana, early jazz, swing, rock ‘n’ roll, and soul, and can perform solo or with a band up to a six piece. Anna has developed a rich and quirky vocal world, with a vibrant and positive personality.
Classically trained as a child in both singing and dance, Anna soon moved on to jazz and tap. Her passion for the cinema also provides her with inspiration along with the diversity of encounters that have punctuated her career.
Anna’s powerful and soul-stirring voice, develops a wide array of tones and colours, serving melodies that keep in your mind. Among Anna’s influences are Patsy Cline, Judy Garland, Etta James, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ute Lemper, Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand.
Anna now lives in London, where she regularly performs in various London’s venues and clubs featuring her own stunning original songs, and her unique interpretation of classic songs both modern, and retro. Her repertoire covers songs from early 20’s blues and jazz, to soul and funk.
Anna has performed at Home House, Alberts Club, Pizza Express, Green Note, Ronnie Scott Upstairs, Royal Opera House as well as in France : Festival d’Avignon OFF, Théâtre Darius Milhaud, and many others.
In 2012, in collaboration with Fabien Ruiz (Tap dancer and Choreographer, ‘The Artist’) and the company Opera Autrement, Anna created for the Festival d’Avignon, the solo musical ‘Swing Baby Swing’. After performing the show for 2 years in France, Anna moved to London in August 2014 to work on the English adaptation with Bruce Alexander.
