The Military Band Ensembles

Our musicians have over 1000 years’ collective service to Queen and country. Many of them served onboard HM Royal Yacht Britannia and will have played at thousands of state events, banquets, and for royal families and heads of state around the world.

Trumpeter

The Military Band are able to provide a solo Trumpeter for Weddings, Funerals, solo performances & corporate events.

For weddings our Trumpeter will perform for the entrance of the bride and exit of the couple as well as accompany any hymns that may be in the Order of Service. On these occasions the Trumpeter will either use a standard Trumpet or perform on a Fanfare Trumpet.

For funerals our Trumpeter will perform The Last Post.

For Corporate Events we will often send our Trumpeter to sound a Fanfare for the Company to make a big announcement! On these occasions the Trumpeter will either use a standard Trumpet or perform on a Fanfare Trumpet.

Brass Quartet

The Military Band Brass Quartet consists of four of the finest and most experienced brass players in the south of England.

They perform a wide variety of music, from classical to ragtime, Glenn Miller to pops, TV themes to West End. And of course they will always perform pieces that contain Nautical, Royal Marines and Armed Forces themes!

They can even give you a Last Night of the Proms style finale, with numbers such as Sea Shanties, Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and of course, their ever popular encore item, Post Horn Galop.

For Livery Company Dinners the Quartet can perform all the ceremonial music needed.

The Military Band Brass Quartet is ideal for providing background music for dinners, corporate functions, weddings, or for any occasion where easy listening music is required.

The Military Band Brass Quintet consists of five of the finest and most experienced brass players in the south of England.

Dance Band

The Military Band Dance Band bring their lifetime of musical experience to ensure your function goes with a swing. Resplendent in either Military Mess Dress or all-black the experience and flexibility of this band has no equal. Many of the Band’s players have performed for State occasions across the globe, performed for the Royal Family and for thousands of private functions and events.

Available in any size from an intimate 3-piece right up to a twenty-one piece big band, the band is capable of playing in any style of music. For the ultimate in realism, the band combines its excellent singers and brass section with the very latest technology producing an authentic ‘as the record’ sound.

Available for national or international bookings The Military Band Dance Band is fully self-contained and available for corporate and society engagements, dinner dances, weddings and parties.

Fanfare Trumpeters

The Military Band Fanfare Trumpet Team is absolutely unbeatable when dignity or impact is required to announce any occasion or personality. Ideal for weddings, product launches, store openings, sporting events, award ceremonies, civic functions, banquets, corporate or private events.

Our fanfare trumpeters are usually used in a team of 2, 4, or 5. If you book a team of 4 or more, they can additionally entertain your guests as a brass quartet or quintet playing conventional brass instruments with music from light-classical through to modern day.

The teams contain musicians who have performed at many prestigious events throughout the world onboard HM Royal Yacht Britannia and at state events across the globe.

String Quartet

The Military Band String Quartet is the perfect choice of musical ensemble to accompany Weddings, Dinners, Garden Parties and Corporate Events.

The impeccable appearance of our uniform clad performers and the wonderful string music that they deliver creates the perfect atmosphere at any occasion. With a repertoire that incorporates every style, from Mozart to Gershwin, Handel to the West End musicals, Bach to Queen, we really do have music for every taste.

Our instrumentalists are all highly experienced performers and most have served for years in the world renowned Royal Marines Band Service. In fact, several members of the team have performed regularly to members of the Royal Family on board the former Royal Yacht Britannia.

Jazz Trio / Quartet

The Military Band Jazz Group consists of some of the finest and most experienced musicians in the south of England.

The Jazz Trio consists of Piano, Bass and Drums, while the Jazz Quartet adds the smooth sounds of a saxophone to the Piano, Bass and Drums.

The ensemble performs a wide variety of jazz music that is ideal for backgrounds music, Dinners, Functions and Corporate Events.

Big Band

The Military Band Big Band really will bring the “wow factor” to your event. 21 musicians resplendent in Mess Dress with a line-up of “who’s who” of fantastic musicians.

The line-up consists of: Piano, Bass, Drums, Guitar, 5 Saxophones, 4 Trumpets, 4 Trombones and 4 singers.

The band is capable of playing in any style of music. Big Band, Glenn Miller, Medleys, Country, Pop, Waltz, Ballads, & even Reggae, all performed in a Big Band style!

Available for bookings across the UK the Big Band is fully self-contained and available for corporate and society engagements; dinner dances, weddings and parties.
